Paint Correction (& Ehancement)
Paint correction is a term that is commonly used by Automotive Detailers worldwide to describe the process of restoring and rejuvenating the paintwork of a vehicle. Actually eliminating surface imperfections, that dull, oxidize, or haze the surface by reflecting light in various directions, therefore detracting from a true and proper, clean, sharp, reflection. These imperfections include things like swirl marks & fine scratches, bird dropping etching & acid rain etching, hologramming & buffer trails, and random isolated deep scratches. At Detail Pro we offer three levels of enhancing your vehicles paint.
#1 Paint Enhancement
With our paint enhancement we start with a full 2 bucket hand wash, decontamination process, clay bar process, and hand drying of the entire vehicle. Then, we use an All-In-One (AIO) Polish/Protectanct with the correct foam pad to enhance the shine and clarity of your vehicles paint. While not a true paint correction, this process typically elminates 20%-30% of minor surface imperfections, while removing nearly all light oxidation, adding depth and color to your vehicles surface. This process leaves your paint shiny & glossy, all while leaving behind a synthetic wax for added protection. Perfect for a few year old daily driver that has just lost it's shine.

#2 Paint Reconditioning Services - 1 stage
After the full wash/decon/clay process mentioned above, we use a diminishing compound polishing process to remove nearly all the oxidation from the paint's surface. Typically 50% or more of minor swirl marks on the paints surface are removed and even some minor blemishes. We restore the shine and luster your paint came with when it was new. The finished surface is extremely smooth, shiny, and very glossy, with more depth and color. We protect this finish with with a quality sealant. (Option for ceramic coating)

#3 Paint Correction - 2 stage
A true paint CORRECTION, use a two stage compounding & polishing process. The first step is a more aggressive compound/pad combo to remove most scratches and blemishes, and we strive to remove between 75%-85% of swirl marks on the paint's surface. With all of the oxidation removed, and the majority of blemishes and swirl marks gone, we move to the 2nd step of polishing... the finishing polish. Using a more refined polish and finer pad, this step makes the paint extremely glossy and smooth again. You may just think it’s an entirely new car! The color will be deeper and richer, and metallic finishes will have that ‘pop’ once again! We recommend a ceramic coating for protection after this service, but will also finish with a paint sealant. (sealant included)

Door jambs, wheels, tires, and trim are cleaned & protected as well. Exterior glass is cleaned with an option for coating. We also have options for polishing and coating door jambs, wheels, wheel wells, restoring and protecting trim. We recommend a ceramic coating to protect a two stage paint enhancement.
Headlight Restoration Services
Foggy headlights can be a hazard! Cleaning and restoring headlights makes the car look better and safer to drive due to increased light output. Either straight compounding & polishing or wet sanding & polishing, we can typically restore 90%+ light output and aesthetics on most headlights!
Depending on the condition of your headlight, we can asses what process we will use. We always request you call ahead and stop by for a more accurate price estimate before scheduling.

WAX vs. SEALANT vs. CERAMIC COATING
Natural Carnauba wax is the preferred car wax of collectors and color enthusiasts because it creates a rich, warm glow. It doesn't appear to sit on the paint. It transforms the paint into a deep, liquid pool that shimmers under changing light conditions. The more carnauba wax, the more shine. But that also comes with downfalls: waxes last only briefly, and buildup in corners can be unsightly. Paint sealants are the anti-carnauba. They last a lot longer, they are easy to apply, and there's nothing natural about them; think of a wax made in a factory! If used with a machine polisher, both will provide a nice, shiny, smooth surface with excellent gloss and last longer than wax. 3-4 months, vs a wax at 3-4 weeks. The next step is Ceramic Coating, which will chemically bond with your paint surfaces, last 4-6 YEARS, and provide exceptional gloss, shine, protection, and ease of washing! If you have a daily driver OR a show car… you can't beat a ceramic coating!
